ReplyDeletems lewis is this a world news or local?
yesehak
Hi Yesehak,
ReplyDeleteThis is a Canadian news article, as it's about a Canadian hockey team.
-Ms. Lewis.
Would something in Ontario but not exactly in Toronto be Canada or Local?
ReplyDeleteMs.Lewis i'm remembering some of the Greek gods
ReplyDeleteTommy
Ms.Lewis my mom toad me that the goddesses and gods lived in temples and they named the temples and people use to sacrifice stuff at the temples like animals to keep the gods happy.
ReplyDeleteTommy
And that the gods and goddesses were called Olympians because some lived in mount Olympus and others lived in temples
ReplyDeletetommy
Hi Tommy,
ReplyDeleteThanks to you and your mom for that information about the Greek gods and goddesses! Sounds like you're ready for our unit to begin.
See you tomorrow,
Ms. Lewis.
Ms.Lewis i need help with the top where you put the date for the articles
ReplyDeletetommy
Hi Tommy,
ReplyDeleteDo you mean you're having trouble finding the date in an article (the "When" part)?
If so, send me a link to the article (if possible), and I'll take a look!
Ms. Lewis.

ReplyDeleteHi Tommy,
ReplyDeletePlease find your article on the left hand side, under the title "Useful Documents".
I hope that helps!
-Ms. Lewis.
If an article is about Ontario, for this project, we're considering that local news. Canadian news stories need to be about a province OTHER than Ontario.
ReplyDelete-Ms. Lewis.
Tommy,
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that you can type right on the website you get to after clicking on "Tommy - Your article".
If you like, you can send me what you've typed, and I'll take a look.
-Ms. Lewis.
But Ms.Lewis why do thy care if he gets heart surgery other people get it too
ReplyDeleteTommy
what is the premier?
ReplyDeletetommy
Hi Tommy,
ReplyDeleteThe issue in the article wasn't that he HAD heart surgery, but that he went to the States to get it, when he could have had it here in Canada. There's a story there that isn't being told yet.
The premier of a province is the head honcho of the province. Just like the "boss" of Toronto is our mayor (David Miller), and the "boss" of Canada is our Prime Minister (Stephen Harper), the premier is the "boss" of the province. In Ontario, our premier is Dalton McGuinty.
Hope that helps!
-Ms. Lewis.
